Tekeyan Centre Fund implemented the project “Summer Camp” adopted by the Fund’s Board of Trustees at the 9th AGM in May. The project provided a ten-day-holiday in a camp on the bank of the river Yeghegis in picturesque Vayots Dzor. The IX-XI formers from Tekeyan Schools in Yerevan, Karbi, Stepanavan and Gyumri were involved in the project. The Fund aimed at encouraging intellectually and physically gifted pupils, so the participants had been chosen on the basis of their progress and behaviour at school, physical fitness. Children in need hadn’t been ignored either. The project included a very interesting program full of sports and intellectual games, educational and cultural activities, camping and sightseeing tours. >>>>

Tekeyan Centre Fund organized and funded its pilot interscholastic project – competition in two disciplines – “The Armenian Language and Literature” and “Mathematics”. The competition took place at Tekeyan Centre; the participants were the eighth-formers from Vahan Tekeyan Schools in Yerevan, Karbi, Gyumri and Stepanavan. Two days later the award ceremony took place. Tekeyan Centre Fund awarded Letters of Commendation and valuable presents to the winners. >>>>

RA Minister of Culture Hasmik Poghosyan received the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Tekeyan Centre Fund Vartan Ouzounian and the Fund Director Armen Tsulikyan. The representatives of TC Fund spoke about the importance of the Tekeyan Cultural Association and its activities as well as about the support and sponsorship that TC Fund provides to the TCA of Armenia. Mr Ouzounian presented the projects of the Fund which include a number of important cultural activities. In the future TC Fund intends to stage an exhibition of the works by the famous French-Armenian artist Jean Carzou in Yerevan. >>>>

RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan received Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Tekeyan Centre Fund Vartan Ouzounian and Fund Director Armen Tsulikyan. During the meeting the Chairman presented the Minister the history, the structure and the activities of the Fund. Mr Ouzounian also mentioned the Fund projects of 2010 which include a number of educational, cultural and sporting activities involving Tekeyan schools. >>>>

Vartan Ouzounian, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Tekeyan Centre Fund, was in Yerevan on a brief working visit. His visit aimed at expanding the activity of the Fund by launching new projects. The Chairman also intended some substantial improvements to make the activity of Tekeyan Business Centre more effective and beneficial which would increase the project budget. >>>>

Оn the occasion of the “Vahan Tekeyan” annual international award ceremony Tekeyan Centre was full of prominent guests again. The Tekeyan Cultural Association of Armenia awarded the winners of 2009 in nine nominations. The TCA of Armenia had prepared a prize for the Prime Minister as well. Tigran Sargsyan was decorated with the order “Brilliant Ararat”, the highest award of the TCA. >>>>
